After high school, he played college football at the University of Cincinnati. He initially played as a full-back before switching to defence, once his tenure ended. NFL career
The Philadelphia Eagles selected Kelce as their sixth-round pick in the 2011 NFL draft, but he had to wait until his 2011 NFL suspension was lifted before the deal was officially announced. His rookie season started and ended well. As a freshman, Jason Kelce started all games and became the first freshman in franchise history to start all games of the season.
During his second season with the team was named the starting center for the second consecutive year. However, the season did not end well as he had a partially torn MCL and ACL that kept him on the bench for the remainder of the season. But he recouped the loss the following season, starting all of the team’s 16 games to not only make the playoffs but also post a team-record 442 points with a record 6,676 yards. That performance earned him the title of top center in the NFL that year and Pro Football Focus (PFF) honored him for it. He also received the Ed Block Courage Award.
In 2014, he signed a 6-year deal with the franchise worth $37.5 million, including $13 million in guaranteed money. Despite missing four games this season due to surgery, he still earned his first ticket to the 2015 Pro Bowl. The next season, he started all 16 of the team’s games and secured a league top ten spot as well as his second Pro Bowl.
In 2017 he also started all games. He was named the top offensive lineman by PFF and was also named a First-Team All-Pro. He won Super Bowl LII with the Philadelphia Eagles and was named Run Blocker of the Year by PFF.
