Jelena Djokovic (nee Ristic) was born on the 17th of June 1986 in Belgrade, Serbia. Her father’s name is Miomir while her mother’s name is Vera. Djokovic spent her formative years in Belgrade. It must be noted that she comes from a humble background; Her parents weren’t doing well, but they still managed to please their children. Due to her humble background, Jelena Djokovic realized early on that if she wanted to achieve anything in life, she had to work hard. She therefore surrounded herself with books and later became a standout student in elementary and high school.
