He then played Philippe, Duke of Anjou, the first in a long series of costume roles, ranging from Lautrec (1998) to Rohmer ‘s Amours d’Astrée et de Céladon (2007) , including the Rastignac mini-series or the ambitious, L’Enfant des Lumières (2002), as well as the feature films Jacquou Le Croquant and Jean de La Fontaine, le Défi (where he played King Louis XIV alongside Lorànt Deutsch ).
Playing the Martians in Cédric Klapisch ‘s Maybe in 1999 and opposite Eric Cantona in L’Outremangeur in 2003, Jocelyn Quivrin found two notable roles in 2004: in the drama Grande école (where he met his future partner Alice Taglioni ) and the thriller L’Empire des loups (2005), adapted from the novel by Jean-Christophe Grangé and where he teams up with Jean Reno .
In 2008, Jocelyn Quivrin won the Patrick Dewaere Prize and was nominated for the César for Best New Actor for his performance as the colleague of the depressive advertising executive played by Jean Dujardin in 99 francs . The same year, he co-starred in Our Merciless Universe with Alice Taglioni, a comedy by Léa Fazer set in the corporate world.
Not shying away from small appearances in the scam film Ca$h and the dramas A l’aventure and La Famille Wolberg , Jocelyn Quivrin distinguished herself in 2009 in two successful comedies: LOL by Lisa Azuelos and Incognito by Eric Lavaine .
In November of the same year, he died in a road accident on the A13, under the Saint-Cloud tunnel, in the Paris region.
