Daughter of Gérard and Elisabeth Depardieu , sister of Guillaume Depardieu .
Coming from an illustrious family of actors, Julie Depardieu studied philosophy, then did multiple internships in the cinema industry, without however intending to pursue a career as an actress. We discovered her on the big screen, alongside her father, in Le Colonel Chabert in 1994. She then appeared in several television films by Josée Dayan . Danièle Dubroux gave the actress her first major role in The Midnight Exam in 1998. Her naturalness and fantasy work wonders in the wacky universe of the director, who will direct her again in Eros therapy in 2004.
