Kate A. Shaw is a celebrity wife with an impressive profile. Though known as the better half of respected media personality Chris Hayes, who works as a progressive journalist for MSNBC, Shaw has also made a name for herself as an elite legal analyst with a remarkable erudition. The respected attorney was born to her parents, Andy and Mary Shaw, in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. She is one of her parents’ three daughters. Her sister, Elizabeth, is the chief executive officer of a charter school network, while her other sister, Emily, works as the director of a digital library at Ohio State University. After completing her high school education, Kate A. Shaw enrolled at Brown University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001. She later received her Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University in 2006. While at Northwestern University, Shaw served as Editor-in-Chief of the university’s Law Review.
She is a member of the Administrative Conference from the United States. Her previous career includes administrative work for arbitrators such as Justice John Paul Stevens of the United States Supreme Court and Justice Richard A. Posner of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Currently Kate A. Shaw is co-director of the Floersheim Center for Constitutional Democracy and a professor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. As a law professor, she teaches and researches in the areas of constitutional law, electoral law, administrative law, the Supreme Court, gender and sexual orientation and law, among others.

Kate A. Shaw is in a blissful relationship with notable media personality Chris Hayes. She is her husband’s first love when the lovebirds first met at Brown University, where they both graduated. The couple celebrated their union in 2007 and are the proud parents of three adorable children. Elizabeth Shaw-Hayes born 2011, David Emmanuel Shaw-Hayes born 2014 and Anya Shaw-Hayes who joined the family in 2018. Since June 2009 he has been an executive at BGADirektor. He was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in 2011. In March 2018 he left the operational business. His career achievements include the Chicago Headline Club’s Journalist of the Year Award.
