The actress was born on June 18, 1979 in New York City, New York, United States of America. She has not provided information about her parents or siblings in the media. However, she began her acting career in her teens. Before that, she grew up in New York City, but most of her time had been spent abroad with her family in Germany, France and Italy when she was a child and teenager.
At the age of 15, as an exchange student for six months in Aix-en-Provence and in Paris at the age of 18, working as an intern at the M5 film distribution company. Additionally, he attended high school in New York City. She later graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with a minor in Politics and a minor in Theater/Film.
He then attended the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, Connecticut. Additionally, she had enrolled in the New York University Film Graduate Program at Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. She began her career as an actress on various stages off Broadway.
