The name Laurene Powell Jobs rings a couple or rather several reasons; she is the widow and heiress of the company Mogul, former CEO and co-founder of one of the largest American multinational technology companies Apple Inc., Steve Jobs. As well as being popular as Job’s widow and heiress, Powell has made a name for herself in the business world.
She is a well-known business executive and founder of Emerson Collective, an organization that advocates for policy change in education, immigration reform, environmental protection and social justice. Laurene is also a co-founder of College Tank (a foundation created to help high school students with disabilities prepare for college). She is currently Chair of the Board of Directors.
Education and career
Laurene holds a Bachelor of Arts/Science from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Laurene met her late husband, Steve Jobs, at Stanford Business School as a guest at a talk he gave at the institution in October 1989. He took note and then invited her out in the parking lot.
After dating for more than a year, the lovebirds tied the knot at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park on March 18, 1991. They remained married until Steve’s untimely death in October 2011. After the death of Steve, she became the great heiress who she used to help the less privileged.
She is a big philanthropist and has donated to several social causes while controlling the Laurene Powell Jobs Trust. She is the founder of Emerson Collective, a non-profit social impact enterprise. Laurene Powell Jobs is also passionate about seeing young people educated, as well as her involvement with Make School (a coding school and electric scooter start-up).
She has also shown the world in countless ways that she knows how to spend her money. She bought a home worth over $16.5 million in May 2018. The property is located on Russian Hill in San Francisco. Steve Jobs and Laurene Powell Jobs both had three children together. Their children are Reed, Erin and Eve. Reed Jobs is their only male child. He was born in September 1991. He owes his name to Jobs Alma Mater – Reed College.
Erin Siena Jobs was born on August 19, 1995, and Jobs’ youngest child, Eve Jobs, was born in 1998. Laurene is also stepmother to Steve’s first child, Lisa Brennan Jobs, whom he had in a relationship. with Chrisann Brennan many years before meeting Laurene. Lisa was born in 1978.
Powell Jobs lives in Palo Alto, California with her children, and despite her busy schedule, she finds time to relax with her family.

The billionaire’s untimely death made Laurene one of the richest women alive. With a net worth of $20.5 billion in 2018, she ranked 20th in the Forbes 400 rankings and 22nd in the Power Women rankings, 58th in the billionaire. By March 2019, his net worth had dropped to $19 billion; however, this increase is likely to increase before the end of the year.

After Steve’s death, Laurene Powell Jobs found Love again in the arms of former Washington Mayor Adrian Fenty. The two met in 2011 at an education conference in Houston. They started out as friends before becoming romantically involved in 2013, a few years after Steve passed away. It was also after Fenty separated from his wife of fifteen years. The duo have remained together ever since; they are obviously having a time of their lives and are usually seen vacationing together.
