Heather Laurie Holden is a North American actress, model, businesswoman and activist, born December 17, 1969, in Los Angeles, California. When she was little, her family moved to Toronto, the country where the actress grew up, giving her the opportunity to have both nationalities. She is the daughter of actors Glenn Corbett and Adrienne Ellis, her parents divorced when she was 5 years old. Her mother would later remarry director Michael Anderson. She studied briefly at McGill University, then entered UCLA and studied theater arts. She would graduate with honors and receive the Natalie Wood Award for Performance. She continued her training in London, studying drama at the Webber Douglas Academy. She returned to her country to debut in theater and work in series such as Two (1996), Beyond the Limit (2000) and The Magnificent Seven (1998-2000), until she was discovered by the director and screenwriter Frank Darabont, who would offer her a role in the film El Majestic (2000), consolidating his career.
