BIOGRAPHY
The daughter of itinerant theater actors, Liza Weil was marked, during her childhood, by numerous trips around the world, until they settled in Pennsylvania. A fan of the Indiana Jones trilogy , the young girl wants to become an archaeologist but ultimately turns to dramatic art. Supported by her parents, she passed several auditions and regularly went on stage, before debuting on screen alongside her mother, in the children’s series The Adventures of Pete & Pete , in 1994. Five years later, her performance in the horror film Hypnosis with Kevin Bacon , allowed her to be spotted by Warner. Moving to Los Angeles, Liza Weil began the year 2000 by appearing in the hit series At the White House and Emergency .

At the same time, she was mainly revealed to the public thanks to her interpretation of Paris Geller in Gilmore Girls , for seven consecutive seasons. First considered to play the heroine Rory Gilmore, the role of her rival was written especially for the actress, who dyed herself blonde to better match her character. When the show came to an end in 2007, Liza Weil persevered on the small screen ( Eleventh Hour , CSI , US Marshals , Grey’s Anatomy , Private Practice ) and then rubbed shoulders with Michael Shannon in The Missing Person . Producer Shonda Rhimes called on her successively in 2012 and 2014: first for the first six episodes of Scandal , then for a regular role in How To Get Away with Murder . The actress respectively lends her features to Amanda Tanner, White House aide causing a scandal by pretending to be pregnant by President Fitzgerald Grant ( Tony Goldwyn ); and Bonnie Winterbottom, the devoted associate of lawyer Annalize Keating ( Viola Davis ). In 2016, Liza Weil reunited with her former partners, Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham , in the revival of Gilmore Girls , available on Netflix.
