BIOGRAPHY
The Mexican Marco Zapata began his acting career from a very young age in the late 1990s. He was part of Michael Rowe’s controversial film Leap Year (2000) and continued to make appearances in short films and television series until, in 2011, he had a leading role in director Ignacio Rinza’s action film El Bukanas . The following years he participated in the compilation soap operas Un día siempre (2016) and Como dice el dicho (2017-2018). In 2018 he starred alongside Alejandra Cárdenas in Pablo Aura’s romantic drama Influencia , in which he played Brando, the boy who disrupts the magical world that the grandmother has created for Leonora (Cárdenas) in order to survive. In 2021 he is part of the main cast of the new Mexican thriller for Netflix Who Killed Sara? with the role of young Elroy, whose adult character is played by Héctor Jiménez.
