Mariahlynn – biography, ethnicity, family, career as a musical artist
Prior to Season 6 of the Love and Hip Hop: New York reality show which premiered in December 2015; no one except the regular folks in dark New Jersey nightclubs knew this young lady. However, when curtains were drawn for the season sometime in March 2016, Mariahlynn was a celebrity who was on the map of relevance and listed as a rising rap star.

Mariahlynn was born Mariahlynn Jacoby-Araujo on July 17, 1990 in Jersey City, New Jersey but is popularly addressed as Mariahlynn . She was born to a Puerto Rican father and Italian-American mother. Her ethnicity is Puerto Rican and Italian while she holds American citizenship. The cute rapper is fluent in Spanish and English.
Mariahlynn had a very difficult childhood, as her parents were practically unavailable and she had to take on responsibilities for the family (siblings and nephews) from an early age.
She’s quite overprotective of her loved ones. She once raged at popular rapper Nicki Minaj, whom she accused of bullying one of her fans named Barbz and beating up her mother to deliver a message to Mariahlynn.
Career as a musical artist
The sweet rapper didn’t have a bright start as a rap artist. She used to go clubbing before being spotted by Mr. Coop, who introduced her to famous New York disc jockey DJ Self. The DJ would then help her create her first single, Once Upon a Time (I Was a Hoe) .
She turned down a contract her DJ offered, even after she split from her former manager, Rah Ali. Mariahlynn is currently pursuing her music career as a free agent. It’s not clear how she’s faring with her finances as an artist, though she does make quite a hefty sum from the movie Love & Hip Hop reality show.
As her singles took off, things began to look good for the young rising hip-hop star. DJ Self later helped her land a slot on Season 6 of Love & HipHop : New York and she soon found herself enmeshed in the drama’s ranks.
She continued to make her appearances in season 7 and season 8, which aired on November 21, 2016 and October 30, 2017, respectively. She also returned in the show’s 9th season as a supporting cast member.
The young rapper has a very complicatedlove life. Marilynn says she dated music producer and fellow reality TV star Rich Dollaz for three years. In February 2016, Rich denied her claims, saying that he had never dated or messed around with any of the ladies (including Mariahlynn) on the show.
She is also romantically linked to Safree Samuel, another star of the show. In November 2017, she was dating James R., who she broke up with after she saw him cheating with Sophia Body in the music video for Bad Girl.
The 5ft 4in petite beauty is also at boobies with her friend Bianca. The two besties are no longer too close.

Mariahlynn’s father, Raphael Araujo, is of Puerto Rican descent, while her mother, Tasha Jacoby Araujo, is of Italian-American descent. In Mariahlynn’s early days, her parents were basically in and out of prisons and her mother was struggling with drug addiction, leaving Marilynn and her siblings with no choice but to learn how to survive on their own. She has two sisters (Victoria Ramos and Icelynn Jacoby) and a brother named Danny.
Although she took up tapping in her early teens, Mariahlynn worked as a stripper and go-go dancer to support her family and pursue her dream of becoming an artist. Through thick and thin, Mariahlynn has remained devoted to her difficult family, caring for her mother, three siblings and a nephew. She especially likes her little sister Icelynn, who she often shows on Instagram.
