Matt Schaub family – wife

Born to American parents Dale and Debbie Schaub, the soccer player grew up in Pittsburgh with his only sister, Lindsay Schaub.

The successful footballer is married to Laurie Leigh Schaub (née Flynn). Laurie was born on May 7th in Birmingham, Alabama, where she grew up. She attended Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, where she was a cheerleader. After graduating high school, she continued her cheerleading training at Auburn University, graduating with a degree in health promotion and a minor in business administration.

Graduating from college, the beautiful lady moved to Atlanta around 2004 to work for the Lehman Brothers. She also became a cheerleader for the Atlanta Falcons, where she met her husband at a charity golf tournament hosted by an Atlanta Falcon player. At the time, Matt was a bench warmer for the team. The lady didn’t notice him at the time because he was just starting his career with the team and had only made two starts in three seasons.

They eventually started dating and although their friends thought they were a great couple, they weren’t sure. Eventually, as fate would have it, they realized that they were made for each other. At 4:00 pm on February 23, 2008, they tied the knot at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, to the delight of their families and friends. The ceremony was attended by Falcon teammates, close friends and family members.

Laurie is super gorgeous and as a result has been on every soccer player’s hottest list. For two consecutive years (2011 and 2012), NFL WAG named her “Football’s Sexiest Woman” in the annual competition sponsored by Fantasy Football Sideline and Fantasy Baseball Dugout.

Currently, Laurie is one of the board members of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and she is also a member of Die Dame Texans, the Houston Texans Players’ Wives organization.

The couple, whose marriage is considered one of the most successful in the NFL, established the “GR8HOPE” foundation in May 2011. The purpose of the foundation is to bring lasting healing to children with medical needs, hope for future generations, and bring happiness to children and their families as they face medical challenges.

Matt Schaub and his wife have four children – three daughters and a son. In March 2010, they welcomed their first daughter, Monroe, and in 2011 their twin girls, Makayla and Mackenzie, arrived. Their son James Matthew was born on September 20, 2014 at 26 weeks but was able to survive after many weeks in intensive care.

height, weight, dimensions

Matt Schaub is just the right size to play football. He stands at a height of 1.98 m and weighs 111 kg.

Being big doesn’t always mean big hands, but Matt is one of the lucky few players to have those physical traits fused into one body. He has a hand size of 9 3/4 (62nd). In the NFL Combo, hand size is determined by measuring the tip of the thumb to the tip of the pinky with the hand extended. When this is done, the number obtained is the player’s hand span or hand spread. The average male handspan is about 8.5 inches and even in the NFL it is very rare to have a handspan of 11 inches or wider.
