When Donald Trump won the 2016 US presidential election, among other things, it was certain that America would have a one-of-a-kind First Lady in Melania Trump. Just like her husband, she was not an “ordinary” political figure, her past and her story have been assured.
It’s hard to ignore the shadow cast by her husband, Donald Trump, whose larger-than-life persona is evident. Sometimes it takes a conscious effort to remember that there is a Melania asset in the White House. She turned out not to be the typical first lady most Americans have grown accustomed to over the years, been embroiled in controversy, attacked and criticized unfairly, but she is still her own wife.
Melania Trump Bio
She was born in Novo Mesto on April 26, 1970 in the former communist Yugoslavia (in what is now called Slovenia). At the time of her birth, her name was Melanija Knavs. She grew up in modest surroundings and lived in an apartment building in Sevnica, in the lower Sava Valley. His family would later move to a two-story house in Sevnica.
She attended high school at Lycee deDesign in Ljubljana, Slovenia while living in a high-rise apartment in Ljubljana. Later, she enrolled at the University of Ljubljana to study architecture and design but dropped out after a year.
Since she always wanted to be a model, at the time Melania started working with Stane Jerko, a sixteen-year-old fashion photographer from Slovenia. At eighteen, she signed with a modeling agency in Milan. When she started modeling, she transcribed her last name “Knavs”, which is Slovenian, into a more German “Knauss”.
In 1992, Melania was named by the magazine Janafinalist of the “Look of the Year” competition in Ljubljana. While modeling in Milan, she did the same for Parisian fashion houses and during this period she met Paolo Zampolli, co-owner of Metropolitan Models who convinced her to move to the United States.

In 1996, Melania arrived in New York and went on to be quite a successful model, working with photographers like Helmut Newton and Patrick Demarchelier. She has featured on the cover pages of some popular magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, Front and GQ. It was during this period that she changed her name to Melania Knauss. She also has her own label of designer watches alongside skincare products.

Before becoming the first lady of the United States, Melania Trump was once a glamorous model. So there’s no surprise as to how it’s held its shape over the years. Her measurements are as follows: she is 5ft 11in tall and weighs 62kg. Her bra size is 34D and D cup size. She is shoe size 10 (US) and dress size 6 (US). His vital statistics come in at 38-26-37.
Parents
Melania was born in a modest Slovenian home. His father, Viktor Knavs, was from a town near Novo Mesto, Radece, he ran car and motorcycle dealerships. His mother, Amalija Knavs, was from the village of Raka. She made her living by making children’s clothes with a manufacturer named Jutranjka. based in Sevnica.
Melania was not the only child of her parents, she has a sister, Ines Knauss and a half-brother, Denis Cigelnjak, from a relationship of her father. Melania Trump and Denis do not seem to be talking, she had already denied his existence. His family currently resides in the United States.
Son, divorce
Melania first met Donald Trump in 1998, at a New York Fashion Week party hosted by Donald’s friend and Italian businessman, Paolo Zampolli. Donald, at the time, had already separated from his second wife, Marla Maples.
They began dating and became engaged in 2004. On January 22, 2005, Melania married Donald Trump at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Florida. The reception was held at Trump’s “Mar-a-Lago” estate. Twelve months later, Melania gave birth to her first child and Donald Trump’s fifth, Barron William Trump.
A mainstay of the Trump presidency has been controversy, some of which has to do with the president’s inappropriate behavior with women and, in some cases, allegations of outright infidelity. Amidst all this turmoil, the First Lady managed to keep up appearances, destroying any rumors of an impending divorce.
