In the cinema, she obtained small, more or less important roles in the comedies À foolproof , Tout schuss , Pattaya , Hibou (directed by her brother) and Bad Buzz .
Melha Bedia’s career took an important turning point in 2019, when she was chosen to play the main character of Forte , a young woman with a strong character but self-conscious about her weight. She therefore decides, with the help of a rather unusual teacher and her two best friends who are just as lost as she is, to remedy this through an unusual activity: pole dancing.
Melha Bedia, who is also a screenwriter on Forte, explains: “My agent at the time asked me if I didn’t have an idea for a script. It germinated one evening, when my friends took me to a club of pole dancing. As I observed the men and women watching these creatures dance around the pole, I realized the impact that pole dancing could have on people.”
In 2022, Mehla plays, in the crazy comedy La Très Très Grande Classe , a French teacher mistreated by her students and ready to do anything to get transferred to another establishment. For the occasion, the actress plays alongside Audrey Fleurot , François Berléand and Arié Elmaleh .
