Melinda Gates’ marriage
Melinda Gates met her husband Bill in 1987. She began working in his company. He approached her at a company picnic and asked her if she would like to go (with him) to dinner in two weeks. In response, she said his way of asking her out wasn’t spontaneous enough for her. However, she gave him her number and asked him to call her.
Bill called her later that evening and asked if the call was spontaneous enough for her and yes it was. The duo started dating after that, and according to Melinda, her mom didn’t think meeting the CEO was a good idea at first. Despite this, they kept their relationship quiet at work and made sure their co-workers and family members respected their privacy.
