Melissa Lee was born to Chinese-American parents on November 4, 1974. Her birth took place in Great Neck, New York. Although the identity of his parents is not known, Lee’s father is said to have graduated from Columbia University.
From an early age, the girl began idolizing the likes of Kaity Tong which inspired her to pursue a career in journalism. After graduating from high school, Lee continued her education at Harvard University where she received her BA in government in 1995. While at Harvard, she worked as an associate editor for the school’s publication, Harvard Crimson .
Professional career
Shortly after graduating from college, MelissaLee launched her career as a professional journalist. His first stint was with Great Neck Record, a newspaper in his hometown. She then worked as a consultant at Mercer Management Consulting where she focused on the credit card and banking industries.
After a few years, Lee took advantage of his career for television, thus joining the Bloomberg Network. There she began working as a journalist and TV show host. While doing so, she was also a contributor and reporter for CNN Financial News. In 2004, she was recruited by CNBC Network where she remained active for over 15 years and counting.
