Known professionally as Metro Boomin and also passing by Young Metro or simply Metro, he is officially called Leland Tyler Wayne, born on September 16, 1993 in St. Louis (Missouri) in a family where he had 4 brothers and sisters. Originally, it has its roots in Atlanta, Georgia. His parents are Lamont Wayne and Leslie Wayne, father and mother respectively.

He started playing music at an early age playing bass guitar in his college band. Even when he attended Parkway North High School, he was always attached to music.
