Her full name is Miranda Jane Richardson and she was born on the 3rd of March 1958 in Southport, England. Her mother is Marian Georgina (née Townsend) and is a homemaker. Her father is William Alan Richardson and he worked as a marketing manager. Miranda was born the younger of two daughters and was raised by both parents along with her older sister. She has British citizenship. Not much is known about her practicing religion, but she is very interested in falconry.
Miranda Richardson received a proper education in her field which undoubtedly made her the great actress she has become. She studied with stars like Daniel Day-Lewis and Jenny Seagrove at the Bristol Old Vic Theater School.
