Mo Amer Will Return With A New Netflix Comedy Series Called Mo – Biography, Net Worth, Age, Weight, Height, Relationships

The solo comedy series Mo, hosted by Palestinian-American comedian Mo Amer, will premiere on Netflix on August 24 at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET.

Following the 2018 special Mo Amer: The Vagabond, Amer’s second Netflix comedy project. Solvan “Slick” Naim is the director of the eight 30-minute episodes that make up Mo. Amer will play Mo Najjar, the series’ main character. Before the comedy series premieres on August 24, here’s everything you need to know about it.

The trailer for the comedy-drama series shows Mo Amer’s experiences as a Palestinian-American living in the United States and going about his life as a person without citizenship in Palestine or the United States. Mo describes himself as a “free refugee agent” in the teaser. He is seen giving strange objects to people, and when questioned, he responds as follows:

The trailer also touches on religion, the practice of Islam in the United States, and what it means to lead a multicultural life.

“As a Palestinian refugee who is always just one step away from sanctuary as he makes his way toward American citizenship, Mo Najjar lives on the cusp of two cultures, three languages, and a whole lot of nonsense.

His family, which includes his strong and spiritual mother, sister and older brother, flee to Houston, Texas. Mo overcomes his discomfort with laughter as he adjusts to his new surroundings, although moving forward in life comes with many obstacles.

A closer look at Mo’s cast

In addition to directing the show, Mo Amer and fellow comedian Ramy Youssef serve as executive producers and creators. Amer and Youssef have worked together before. In two seasons of Ramy’s Hulu comedy, Amer played Youssef’s Muslim cousin, Ramy.

Additionally, Mo Amer is a member of the renowned comedy troupe Allah Made Me Funny. The other two in the group are Bryant “Preacher” Moss and Azhar Usman.

First, Mo Najjar

Najjar’s character, played by Mo Amer, is a refugee in the United States who had to go through a difficult immigration process. He makes a significant effort to support his family by selling unusual products because he cannot enter the conventional labor market due to his lack of legal documentation.

plays the role of Mo’s businesswoman girlfriend. Maria is a strong-willed woman who is dedicated to her friendship with Mo but will not give up her independence or her moral principles.

3) Yusra Najjar

Yusra Najjar Farah Bsieso plays Mo’s mother. She is quick-witted and resourceful and acts as the meddling head of the family when needed. Yusra’s interests continue to lie with her family, God, and the TV show The Price is Right despite the challenges she faces as a refugee in the United States.

Mo’s older brother is Najjar Sameer, who is played by Omar Elba. He has always loved cats and, despite his social anxiety, secretly yearns for freedom and love.

Nick, Mo’s closest and most trusted friend. Likewise, Tobe Nwigwe is quite the smart guy. Nick won’t leave his friend’s side, even though he has made a life for himself after a tumultuous past with Mo. Alongside Dwayne “the Rock,” Amer will also appear in the upcoming DC superhero film, Black Adam. On August 24, Mo will be available on Netflix.
