In 2016, Monica Barbaro appeared on the critically acclaimed series UnREAL as Yael in the 10th episode of its second season. She was cast as one of the main characters in the film, which was also her big shot at stardom. Yael nicknamed “Hot Racheal” was a hidden villain who was also a journalist trying to uncover the dark secrets of a dating show named Everlasting so she could achieve fame.

The zealous and hardworking actress also starred in four other series the same year. She played Ella Koha in Hawaii Fire, Pretty Girl Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Life Aquatic, Chloe Edward in Famous, and Anna Valdez in Chicago PD – all in 2015.
