Narvel Wayne Blackstock was born in Tarrant County, Texas, USA on August 31, 1956. From childhood, Narvel always developed an interest in sounds and music, ever since joining the local band where he played steel guitarist . There is not much information about Blackstock’s family and he too has decided to keep it low key.

Narvel formed bands with his friends and continued to play steel guitar until he turned pro. He only gained fame as a guitarist before fully launching into the world of music and entertainment. He came into the limelight after meeting the iconic country music singer called Reba McEntire. Blackstock became Reba’s manager and later they both started their own talent management company called Starstruck Entertainment. Their company has managed singer Reba as well as other notable singers such as Blake Shelton.

Narvel has also managed other music albums including Love Forever in 1998, Secret to Give released in 1999, Reba: Video Gold II in 2006, Malibu Country which was released in 2012, and Not So Family in Christmas also in the same year.

Their marriage, however, lasted about fifteen years before they separated. They were blessed with three children – Brandon, Shawna Rene and Chassidy Celeste Blackstock. Elisa and Narvel separated in 1988.

Before their divorce, Narvel met singer Reba in 1980 and after his split with Elisa; he took his relationship with the singer to the next level. The would-be couple married in 1989 in a private ceremony held on a boat in Lake Tahoe. They have a son named Shelby McEntire Blackstock. Reba also became the mother of Narvel’s three children from her previous marriage.

However, after twenty-six years of marriage, only as her first marriage; Narvel, after having a wonderful marital relationship with Reba, left her with Reba. The couple announced their separation in early 2005, their divorce was finalized on October 28 of the same year, and the couple separated.
