BIOGRAPHY
Natascha McElhone studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art before turning to theater in 1993. She notably performed in the plays Richard III , The Count of Monte Cristo , The Cherry Orchard and A Midsummer Night’s Dream .

She played her first major film role, that of Françoise Gilot, alongside Anthony Hopkins in Surviving Picasso (1996) by James Ivory . Brad Pitt ‘s companion in Close Enemies (1997), she helps Jim Carrey escape from the imaginary town of Seahaven in The Truman Show (1998), and stands up to Robert De Niro in the spy thriller Ronin (id. ).

This blonde with big green eyes also sings and dances for Love’s Labour’s Lost (2001) by Kenneth Branagh and plays a charming partner for George Clooney in Solaris (2003), a science fiction film by Steven Soderbergh .

If the actress then played in productions as diverse as the comedy Big Nothing or the drama Les Dames de Cornouailles , she distinguished herself above all in the series Californication where she played the ex-wife of David Duchovny . However, she did not forget the cinema and appeared in The Secret of Moonacre in 2009.
