Religion
When Trump chooses Gorsuch as the choice for SCOTUS revealed many aspects of his life, including his religion. The main reason for this is that Gorsuch, who was born and raised as a Roman Catholic, has since changed religion to become a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, a group of Christians who are considered liberals and whose views are opposed to Trump. Thus, Gorsuch was seen as a liberal in disguise. However, the feelings were dispelled after administration officials encouraged Gorsuch to be judged on his legal opinions rather than the political ideology of his church/pastors.
