BIOGRAPHY
Chilean actor and theater director Néstor Cantillana studied at the Fernando González Theater School, and starting in 1994, he began appearing in numerous successful plays, receiving significant praise, as well as numerous awards. He debuted in soap operas with the role of Patricio Tepano in Iorana (1998) on the state channel TVN. He was nominated for the Altazor Award for National Arts for his performance in the television series Romané (2000) and won the APES Award for “Best Supporting Actor” in 2000. In 2011 he was part of the first Chilean series for HBO called Prófugos , and the following year he starred in the lead role of Fernando in the Oscar-nominated film No (2012), in which an advertising executive comes up with a campaign to defeat Augusto Pinochet in the 1988 referendum in Chile. In 2021 he is part of Isabel: The Intimate History of the Writer Isabel Allende , a miniseries that follows the story of the most read Spanish-speaking writer on the planet.
