Despite his shortcomings, Nick did not deter his pursuit of success and today he is recognized as one of the best motivational speakers of our time.
Biography of Nick Vujicic
He was born to Serbian immigrants from Yugoslavia. His parents, Dušanka and Borislav Vujičić, welcomed him on December 4, 1982 in Melbourne, Australia. He is an Australian national with the zodiac sign Sagittarius.
Nick Vujicic was not a normal child, he entered this world with a rare deformity known as tetra-amelia which in layman’s language means a child born without well formed limbs. The period of his birth was a difficult period for the Vujicic family. Even his mother refused to wear him when the nurse first introduced Nick to her. Eventually, the Vujicic family accepted their fate and raised their son to the best of their abilities.
Nick Vujicic entered this world with two deformed little feet. In fact, he referred to one of his feet as a chicken drumstick because his feet were actually shaped like a chicken. In reality, Nick’s toes were initially fused together but separated by a special operation allowing him to use his foot to grasp objects, browse pages of books, and perform several other functions, including operating an electric wheelchair, a cell phone and a computer..
It is recorded that Nick Vujicic attempted suicide but was caught in time. Despite his unusual physical appearance, he had an amazing childhood as, despite being bullied, he managed to thrive in his teens and early adulthood. At the age of seventeen, Nick began lecturing at his church prayer group, mainly inspired by a newspaper article his mother showed him about a man struggling with a severe disability. He graduated at the age of 21 from Griffith University where he studied business with a double major in financial studies and accounting.
Young Nick started making big moves since 2005 when he founded an international non-profit organization called Life Without Limbs and two years later created a secular motivational business, Attitude is Altitude. Along with his speaking skills, he also starred in a short film titled The Butterfly Circus for which he received a Best Actor award at the Method Fest Independent Film Festival in 2010. In a self-made statement of faith on his web pages, the motivational speaker proclaimed his adherence to born-again Christianity, biblical inerrancy, and classically Calvinist notions of sin and redemption. He believes in the second coming of Christ although he does not publicly identify with any known group, denomination or faction. Nick has written over eight books and has several other publications to his credit.

The renowned motivational speaker was born to father Boris Vujicic and mother Dushka Vujicic who were Serbian immigrants from Yugoslavia. In his autobiography, he said that when he was born, his own mother refused to keep him when the nurse first brought him in, but both parents eventually accepted him as he was. and with conviction is God’s plan for their son. Nick is the first child in the Vujicic family and was raised alongside his two siblings Michelle Vujicic and Aaron Vujicic. Nick moved to California in 2006 and in 2008, in McKinney, Texas, near Dallas, he met his soulmate, Kanae Miyahara, a young woman born in Mexico and based in Texas. Kanae is the daughter of a Mexican mother and a Japanese agricultural engineer, who found herself among the audience in one of her motivational speeches. After listening to Nick’s speech, she was hooked and on February 12, 2012, the couple tied the nuptial knot. Their marriage is blessed with four children namely their sons Dejan Levi and Kiyoshi James and Ellie Laurel and Olivia Mei, an identical set of twin daughters.
