Offset is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and one of the three-man hip hop groups known by their stage name Migos . The group rose to fame after their debut single Versace (2013) went viral and peaked at No. 99 on the US Billboard 100 chart. Offset, on the other hand, has an album to his credit, whose single Ric Flair Drip went 3x platinum while popping the charts.

Offset is an African American whose birth name was Kiari Kendrell Cephus and was born on December 14, 1991 in Lawrenceville but grew up in Gwinnett County, Georgia, USA. His parents’ names and occupations are unknown, but he was raised alone by his aunt alongside his cousin Takeoff.
He attended Berkmar High School in Lilburn, Georgia, where he graduated in 2009. He was also a co-founder of Migos there . He played football during his school days until he sustained an injury that forced him to retire from the sport altogether.
Offset helped form Migos with his close relatives in 2008 while he was still in high school, the first name they adopted was Polo Club before settling on Migos . Although the single that gave them much-needed recognition was released in 2013, the group had previously released their debut mixtape titled Juug Season on August 25, 2011, without much acceptance.
Their second mixtape, No Label , backed by Tucker Toenjes and Mitchell Thomas, was released on June 1, 2012, but failed to get the breakthrough it needed. 2013 was a notable year for the group following the release of the single Versace that was produced by Zaytoven and peaked at number 99 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single was reportedly Offset’s brain child and peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. They followed with their 2nd studio album Kultur on January 27, 2017. The album was again widely received, charting at #1 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
Rapper Offset has collaborated with other top artists such as his wife, Cardi B, and his cousin, Quavo. Others include Gucci Mane, Drake, Metro Boomin, Huncho Jack, 21 Savage, Future, Young Thug and Lil Yachty. Some of their collaborations include a 2017 single titled No Complaints, which later peaked at number 71 on the Billboard Hot 100; Patek water, who wants to smoke, among others.
He featured 21 Savage and Metro Boomin in his first studio album Without Warning (2017). The album earned him his first Plantinum; Ric Flair Drip, a song from the album, was certified three times platinum by the RIAA and went to #4 on the US Billboard 200 chart while topping the US Raps chart.
Aside from his contributions to the industry, he has also made headlines for negative reasons. He was charged in a larceny case that landed him in the Dekalb County jail in 2013. He was later arrested again and charged alongside his group members. Takeoff and Quavo for illegal possession of drugs and firearms in 2015. Offset was found guilty and remanded in custody for 4 months.
Some of his lyrics in the song Boss Life , which he sang with YFN Lucci, brought him under public fire when the lyrics “I can’t crush on queers” were labeled homophobic, to which he later made full apologies to the gay community via his Instagram side pronounced.

Personal life – baby mom and children
Offset has been linked to many women in the past, and some of them have actually become his baby moms. He was married to Cardi B, whom he met in New York in February 2017. Cardi B confirmed the status of their relationship through a video she shared on social media when the couple was on a Valentine’s Day 2017 date.
After a few months of dating, Offset and she were quietly married in September 2017, but he publicly proposed to Cardi B with a gold ring at Power 99’s October 2017 Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia.
Then in July 2018 their daughter Kulture KiariCephus was born. She is Offset’s fourth child, but on December 5, 2018, Cardi B went public with the news that she had fallen out with her child’s father over a text message to another rapper named Cuban Doll aka Summer Bunni, with whom he is planning to cheat separately.

Offset’s previous love affair with Justine Watson produced his son Jordan. Justine Watson filed a lawsuit against the rapper in August 2017, demanding more child support.
