BIOGRAPHY
Pedro Armendáriz Pardo was a renowned Mexican actor, born on April 6, 1940, in Mexico City. Son of the legendary actor, Pedro Armendáriz and the actress Carmelita Bohr, Pedro wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps from a very young age. However, his father would make it a condition for him to have another professional career. He studied architecture at the Universidad Iberoamericana and worked as such for a brief time, until deciding to become a professional actor.
He would begin his career in cinema with the film The Puppy (1965), which was followed by The Black Gavilanes (1965), The Bandits (1966), Killing is Easy (1966), The Three Musketeers of God (1966), La Soldadera (1966), among several others. Like his father, Pedro, who appeared in more than 1,540 films, he would have participations in international cinema, specifically in the James Bond saga, in the film License to Kill (1989 ) . In Hollywood, he had roles in films such as Terremoto (1974), Gringo Viejo (1989), Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003), The Mask of the Fox (1998), among others.
Pedro died on December 26, 2011, in New York, after suffering severe headaches due to eye cancer.
