She was born sometime in June 1961 to Esther and Dr. The late Jose Edwardo Gonzales of San Bernardino is called Barstow, California. Her family has Mexican roots, unfortunately her beloved father succumbed to colon cancer in November 2016. Roberta Gonzales was not an only child of her parents as she had two siblings. an elder and younger brother whose names were Edward and Michael but sadly both passed away. It was reported that her younger brother Michael was shot and killed by a classmate on June 27, 1981 as Roberta was preparing to celebrate her 21st birthday while her older brother Edward was torn from the cold hands of death in July 2013 Death of her mother Esther in February 2013.
A native of Barstow, she is a graduate of Montara Elementary School and completed her high school education at John F. Kennedy High School. In 1977 she enrolled to study liberal arts at San Diego State University.
Roberta Gonzales athletic quest and achievement began shortly after losing her brother Michael in her sophomore year of college. During this time, she was introduced to racing by a friend to help deal with her grief and loss. She soon fell in love with the sport and was soon running long distances and setting nice finish times, particularly for the marathon races and the sport of Ironman (sports consisting of cycling, swimming and marathon racing). She has proudly competed in over thirty marathons and over six Ironman sports.

Roberta Gonzales’ love of broadcasting began in her teens. During her studies she watched KPRI FM and XETV channel 6 and helped out with smaller tasks like running errands and gardening. This gave her the opportunity to acquire some knowledge about broadcasting along the way.
Her expertise in the field soon brought her to NBC 5 and WMAQ-TV, where she served as a weather forecaster for about seven years before transferring her services to CBS-owned KPIXTV and on KCBS Radio News segments from 740 o’clock occurred. In no time, she became a famous face of the San Francisco Bay Area, providing explicit weather reports for the area with her always smiling and bubbly personality. The Weather Anchor had mined their trade with the station for over two decades and did an excellent job of handling the Noonday News, Weather Report Eye Witness News, and Early Edition segments. No wonder she was nominated for Emmy Awards for her outstanding work, of which she has won five.
The 5-foot-6-inch Mexican forecasting device’s twenty-plus-year love affair with the CBS media partners ended in 2017 when she decided to pursue her personal dream more than chasing storms across the country. She started her own production company and showed what travel information and events were called Where’s Roberta? T The program airs on KPIX Station and was an instant hit.
Broadcasting and sports pursuits aren’t the only talents or skills that Roberta Gonzales possesses. She is also an author who has written a book for children.
Her charitable efforts earned her the wife ofThe award she received for her mother’s Easter traditions when she sent fifty baskets of goodies to children at St. Joseph Church to meet the needs of the unfortunate children in the Barstow parish.
In addition, the amiable presenter has a scholarship program for Barstow High School medical students as part of a foundation she started in 1995 to honor her fallen best friend, Donna Lee Hanson.

Her husband was born on October 21, 1958 and had a distinguished career as a sports commentator and reporter that spanned his more than three decades an enduring distinguished career as a news reporter, has garnered some five Emmy Awards. He is from Edmonton, Alberta.
The couple are parents of two adult sons; Michaeland Randall, their last child, is already on the path to becoming a journalist like his celebrity parents when he graduated with a degree in Mass Communications and Journalism from the University of Oklahoma in 2017.
