BIOGRAPHY
The first name Saoirse (pronounced sister-sha) means “freedom” in Gaelic. Because if Saoirse Ronan was born in New York, her parents are Irish. His father, actor, Paul Ronan (seen in Veronica Guerin and Ordinary Decent Criminal ) introduced him to film sets from a very young age. She was not ten years old when she landed her first role in the Irish television series The Clinic , in 2003.
