Sarah Shahi is an American actress and model who gained attention for various roles, including that of Carmen in The L Word. Her other roles include Kate Reed on the USA Network legal drama Fairly Legal, Sameen Shaw on the CBS crime drama Person of Interest and Jessica Russo on The Rookie.
She was previously married to actor and comedian Steve Howey from 2009 to 2021. During their marriage, they had had ups and downs together, including being sued by their nanny Sarah Alasari. Reports claim that she sued the former couple in 2016 for unpaid wages, harassment and wrongful termination. A year later, she was again smeared for religious discrimination and sexual harassment. Sarah Shahi: biography, family and education
The actress was born on January 10, 1980 as Aahoo Jahansouzshahi in Euless, Texas, USA, under the zodiac sign of Capricorn. She is the daughter of her father Abbas Jahansouzshahi and her mother Mahmonir Soroushazar. Her mother worked as an interior designer while her father worked at the US embassy in Iran until his execution when the last Shah’s regime collapsed in 1979, however, her father fled the country.
When he was ten years old, his parents divorced. Also, she grew up with her older brother Cyrus and a younger sister, Samantha, who is a production assistant. As for her education, she attended Trinity High School, where she was captain of the volleyball and basketball teams. After that, she graduated from Southern Methodist University with a major in English and drama. During her college, she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega.

From the age of eight, she entered beauty pageants, winning the Miss Fort Worth pageant in 1997. Before moving to Los Angeles in the 2000s, she had worked as an extra on the set of Dr. T and the Women in Texas and he moved to Hollywood at the suggestion of director Robert Altman.
