Named Shannon Marie Speacht at birth, she was born in 1976, on July 23 in Sunrise, Florida, United States. Her father, Don Speacht served in Air Florida and she shared a special bond with him. She has many memories of him, including when he took her to the University of Miami-Notre Dame Orange Bowl game in 1987.
