BIOGRAPHY
Born in France, actress Sophie Gómez studied in Spain, but it was in Mexico where she began and developed her career. She began with roles in films such as Serious Killer (2002) by Antonio Urrutia and Alejandro Springall’s comedy Morirse es en hebreo (2007). The following years she continued acting in films, short films and appearing in some episodes of television series. In 2012 she had her first recurring role in the series Cappadocia , but what brought her greater popularity was her participation as Irina Vorodin in the first two seasons of the series The Lord of the Skies . This was followed by important roles in Come back early (2016-2017) and in the Mexican adaptation of Rosario Tijeras (2016-2018). Since 2019 she plays the lead role of Amelia Fritz, a powerful woman, in the Netflix original series Monarca , which revolves around the tequila empire in Mexico.
