Steve Kazee is an American actor and singer. He is recognized for appearing on shows like ‘Working Class’, ‘Nashville’ and ‘The Walking Dead’. Also, he played the role of Gus Pfender in all 14 episodes of the ‘Shameless’ series. In the series, he shared the screen with artists such as Richard Flood, Ethan Cutkosky and Jeremy Allen White.
Additionally, he also won the 2012 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for the 2007 musical-based movie ‘Once’. The actor was born on October 30, 1975 in Ashland, United States of America. Also, he has not revealed any information about his parents or siblings. He has a United States nationality and belongs to the White Caucasian ethnicity. As for his education, he completed his studies at Fairview High School. He then joined Morehead State University for further study. In 2002, Kazee moved to New York City, where he received his MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Program in Acting in 2005.
Since 2005, he started performing in theaters and did ‘As You Like It’ for the New York Shakespeare Festival. Prior to that, she had uncredited roles in the regional production of “Eurydice” and “Cabaret & Main” at the Williamstown Theater Festival. After that, she worked on various Broadways and Off-Brodways like 2006’s ‘Monty Python’s Spamalot’, 2008’s ‘To Be or Not to Be’ and 2018’s ‘Pretty woman: The Musical’ among many.
Before landing her lead role on the TV sitcom ‘Working Class,’ she appeared in an episode of the TV series ‘Conviction,’ ‘Numb3rs,’ and ‘NCIS.’ Her other TV work is attributed to 2013’s ‘Drop Dead Diva’, 2015’s ‘Shameless’, 2016’s ‘Nashville’, 2018’s ‘Blindspot’ and 2019’s ‘Tempting Fate’.
