Swae Lee: early life and education
Swae Lee was born on June 5, 1995 in Inglewood, California, United States. She was born to Bernadette Walker who was a single mother. Kalifs’ father reportedly moved away from the family shortly after her birth, so we have very little to share on that. However, we do know that Lee also has a brother named Slim Jxmmi. Her mother, Bernadette, worked in the United States Army, and Lee had to move frequently due to her mother’s job. Swae grew up in various states such as Texas, Mississippi and Maryland.
Now looking at his academics, Swae completed his college studies in Mississippi. However, Lee never really put any effort into educating him. He had a passion for music and wanted to do something about it.

After graduating from high school, Lee started working at McDonald’s to make ends meet. She had to work very hard and for almost 12 hours a day. Swae and his brother Slim later signed with Mike Will Made- It’s Label EarDrummers Entertainment as Rae Sremmurd in 2013. The brother released his first single “We” in the same year. Since then, they have been able to find significant fame and a huge fan base. The brothers have also released two studio albums under the label, “SremmLife” and “SremmLife 2”. Next, his single “No Flex Zone!” was able to reach number 36 on the US Billboard Hott 100 chart. Additionally, it also charted in the top 20 of the US R&B and Rap charts. In more recent months, he has been able to find massive fame for the song Sunflower who sang with Post Malone.
