Taylor Quinn Cole was born on April 29, 1984 in Arlington, Texas, United States. She was raised by her mother Deborah Quinn alongside her stepfather, Shawn Christian, who is also an actor. Cole and his stepfather participated in the series Summerland. She also has a younger half-brother called Kameron Christian.

Taylor Cole had a high school education at Lycée Mirabeau B. Lamar in Arlington, TX. As a teenager, she proved to be a gifted athlete and a very active volleyball player in school. She eventually got the chance to travel the country as a member of the Junior Olympics volleyball team.
