BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Pennsylvania, Taylor Swift grew up in Reading and then moved to Wyomissing where she attended Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School. Passionate about horseback riding, she took part in many horse shows, but quickly turned to music hall.

Determined to make music her profession, the apprentice artist auditioned one after the other, but in vain, no door opened in her path. It was then on Broadway that she decided to enroll to improve her skills, with singing and dancing lessons on the program. Very quickly, she had an admiration for country music and saw it as a good way to stand out on the music scene.

A tour of festivals, first contacts with labels, a promising debut in composition… Taylor Swift is an ambitious teenager who doesn’t want to miss any opportunity to make a name for herself. At the age of fourteen, she forced her family to move to Nashville, Tennessee, home of RCA Records, with whom she signed a contract and then withdrew to join the independent label Big Machine Records, which released her first studio album, Taylor Swift, in 2006. This was followed by Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010) and Red (2012).

Lyricist, composer, singer and performer, Taylor Swift has won seven Grammy Awards, eleven American Music Awards, seven Country Music Association Awards, six Academy of Country Music Awards and thirteen BMI Awards. And at the age of twenty-four, the young American has already sold more than 30 million albums worldwide.

In 2009, it was television and cinema that approached him. She appears in the sixteenth episode of season nine of CSI, where she plays Haley Jones, a sixteen-year-old girl found stabbed in the parking lot of the hotel belonging to her parents. The following year, she landed the role of FĂ©licia, a crazy high school cheerleader, in the romantic comedy Valentine’s Day.

Then, animation took hold of her soft voice. In the ecological fable The Lorax (2012), she lends her stamp to Audrey, the red-haired girlfriend of Ted, the hero. In 2014, the singer joined the four-star cast of the sci-fi film The Giver, in which she played Jeff Bridges’ daughter.
