Terrell Raymonn Suggs was born on October 11, 1982, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His parents are Laverne Diane (née Kennedy) and Donald Lee Suggs. He grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. However, his family later moved to Arizona, where he attended Chandler High School and then Hamilton High School, both located in Arizona. While in high school, Suggs was named to the high school All-American team by several top sports magazines.
