BIOGRAPHY
Son of Israeli parents – a Jewish mother and an Arab father, Tomer Sisley discovered his vocation as a comedian during his adolescence. Participating in numerous castings , he began his acting career alongside Séverine Ferrer in the sitcom Studio Sud (1996). Appearing in a few films including Alliance seeks finger (1997), Absolutely Fabulous (2001) and Dédales (2003), he achieved recognition by practicing stand-up (a humorous discipline consisting of speaking directly to spectators on various subjects and varied, making people believe that everything is improvised) and by opening for Jamel Debbouze ‘s one-man show in 2004. A true stage beast, Tomer Sisley plays a few supporting roles in various registers at the cinema: repelling the advances of Julie Depardieu in the “photo-romance” Toi et moi (2006), he plays the bigwigs in the thriller Truands (2007) by Frédéric Schoendoerffer and lends his voice to the Crane in the French version of Kung Fu Panda (2008). The same year, he slipped into the shoes of the wealthy adventurer Largo Winch in the film adaptation of the famous comic strip created by Philippe Francq and Jean Van Hamme . It was a success and the actor signed three years later with the same team for a second adventure of the billionaire hero, working alongside American actress Sharon Stone for the occasion . The same year, he appeared in the casting of the thriller Nuit Blanche , by Frédéric Jardin . Appearing in 2013 in The Millers, a lucrative American comedy with Jennifer Aniston , Tomer Sisley, however, struggled to get his career off the ground. This is evidenced by his performances in the very poorly received Angélique et Kidon . Always accustomed to thrillers, in 2017 he played the main character of The Serpent with a Thousand Cuts by Eric Valette , adapted from a successful noir novel. Author: Guillaume Martin
