The basketball player was born Thomas Frye and Karen Mulzac-Frye as Channing Thomas Frye on May 17, 1983 in White Plains. He attended St. Mary’s High School and was ranked number 13 in the nation by the Fast Break Recruiting Service. After graduating from high school, the basketball star attended the University of Arizona. While in high school and college, he was cited as one of the most productive players on his team. After finding success as a student-athlete, he effortlessly transitioned into the NBA. Channing was selected by the New York Knicks with the eighth overall pick of the 2005 NBA draft. H has played for many teams in the NBA but currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Frye consistently excelled on the pitch, but he also suffered a number of injuries that kept him from playing. He was diagnosed with an enlarged heart in 2012 and was banned from games in the 2012 and 2013 seasons. In his free time, he worked as a broadcaster, taking up minimal physical activity to play yoga and golf. He worked on himself and was able to return to the Games at the end of 2013.

Frye was born to Thomas Frye and Karen Mulzac-Frye, both of whom are deceased. He rarely speaks about his parents until they are both deceased. His mother battled cancer and died sometime in October 2016 and just 27 days later his father died in his room. His mother Karen was 58 when she died. She was an Emmy-winning television reporter and producer in Phoenix. During the days of her suffering, Frye did not reveal his mother’s predicament to anyone. She reportedly underwent surgery before her death and was in contact with Frye after the surgery. The basketball player never knew it would be the last he would hear from her.
On the part of Frye’s father, he is said to have been very well and had also conversed with his son Frye shortly before his death. Channing Frye was reportedly returning from his team’s annual visit to the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Rehabilitation Center when his instincts led him to call his father. He tried everything to get in touch with him, but he didn’t pick up. Moreso, there was no one else to call as his father lived alone after divorcing his late mother. A few days later, Frye’s grandmother found his father dead on the floor when she came to give him a plate of Thanksgiving food.
It was later discovered that Thomas Frye died due to complications from dilated cardiomyopathy at the age of 64. During his lifetime, he co-founded a company that supports public and private schools.

The two were introduced by a mutual friend, as time passed they decided to take their friendship a little further. Exactly two years later, they said their vows on August 14, 2009 at Portland Gardens Vineyards.
Their union is blessed with two children,Hendrix – a son who was born on October 4, 2010, and their daughter Margaux. Margaux was born with a vision problem caused by cataracts. According to the diagnosis, she could not see anything for the first eight weeks of her life. She has undergone several surgeries over time and is currently regaining her vision.
