Who is Hope Hicks?
Born Hope Charlotte Hicks on October 21, 1988 in Greenwich, Connecticut, Hicks is the daughter of Paul Burton Hicks III and Caye Ann Cavender. His father, Paul, served as Executive Vice President (Communications) of the National Football League (NFL) between 2010 and 2015. He also served as General Manager at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide before receiving another position at the head of the Glover Park group.
She has one brother, an older sister, Mary Grace. Hope Hicks was educated in high school at Greenwich High School, where she was on the lacrosse team after enrolling in 2002. She graduated in 2006 and went on to study English at Southern Methodist University in Dallas , in Texas. She also competed in lacrosse in college before graduating in 2010.
Career
Although Hope Hicks is known today as a public relations consultant, a career that took her to the highest levels of American politics, it would be unfair not to acknowledge the fact that she began her career in showbiz. Hicks’ first career choice was to become a model and she strove to achieve this during her teenage years when, in 2002, she was featured in Greenwich magazine. She was also the face of Barbara Robertson’s ‘Hourglass Adventures’ novels. In 2005, Hope Hicks appeared as the cover of the first edition of Cecily von Ziegesar’s series of novels.
Her career in public relations began after she met Alec Baldwin in 2011, when she accompanied her father to a Super Bowl event. Baldwin was a client of Matthew Hiltzik, public relations expert and chairman of the board of Hiltzik Strategies. Some accounts say that she did indeed meet Matthew Hiltzik himself but that, whatever the case, the meeting meant that she would eventually join Hiltzik Strategies from the Zeno Group.
It was during her new job with HiltzikShe met Ivanka Trump, first daughter of then American billionaire, Donald Trump. Her work at Hiltzik Strategies included promoting the fashion line Ivanka – Ivanka Trump Collection. Pretty soon, precisely in August 2014, Hope Hicks left Hiltzik Strategies and started working for the Trump Organization – for Ivanka Trump. A few months later, she started working for Donald Trump himself.
Relationship with Donald Trump
After deciding to run for the office of United States President in 2015, Donald Trump chose Hope Hicks as his press secretary for his presidential campaign despite the fact that she did not have a political summary. She would then leave the Trump Organization to work on the Trump campaign. As press secretary, she notably granted (or restricted) access to Trump and handled press inquiries.
After winning the 2016 U.S. presidential election, in the Trump administration, she was appointed White House Director of Strategic Communications. She became acting White House communications director in August 2017 after Anthony Scaramucci resigned before he was even sworn in. His appointment became permanent on September 12, 2017.
However, despite being one of the toughest Trump loyalists, she resigned her post in March 2018 after becoming the target of investigations into White House dealings during the Trump administration. Hick was even arrested for questioning in congressional testimony where she admitted speaking “white lies” on behalf of the presidency.

She is currently estimated to be worth $200,000, an amount she amassed while active in the current administration – from Trump’s campaign trail to her White House job. As Donald Trump’s campaign press secretary, Hope Hicks earned a salary of $141,417, more than she earned from the Trump Organization ($71,689).

Hope Hicks is a single woman and has yet to be married. Before she started working with Donald Trump on his campaign, she had been in a relationship with an unknown man for six years. However, his work on Trump’s team to win the 2016 US presidential election strained the relationship and it ended.
During her time in the White House, she has had a public profile that comes with considerable scrutiny from the media. She reportedly had an adulterous relationship with Donald Trump’s first campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who was still married at the time of their affair.
