Ian Veneracion is an individual with many things molded into one complete package. He is a sportsman, actor, singer, and media personality, among others. He has built a successful career in areas outside of the Philippines, his home country and now known around the world. Here are some interesting things to know about him.

Ian Veneracion Biography

On February 7, 1975, Ian was born as Stephen Ian López Veneración in Manila, Philippines. He was raised by his father, Roy Veneracion, who works as a painter, and by his mother, Susan López-Veneración.

Due to his father’s influence, Iana grew up loving the arts in general and this motivated him to learn music, painting and become an actor, which he started before he was even seven years old.

His first appearance as a child actor was in 1982, when he played a role in Joey and Son. The same year, he appeared in another production, Never Say Goodbye which was followed by Mang Kepweng and His Son (1983), Di Bale Nalang and Ako si Kiko, Ako si Kikay in 1987, and Un Deux Bato Trois Four Bapor (1989).

By 2018, when he made appearances in Block Z and Wansapanataym Presents: Iron Father, he had already made appearances in over eighty movies and TV series. Although he rose to prominence with a good number of films in the Philippines, other films sold him to global audiences.

As a result of his accomplishments as an actor, Ian has received numerous nominations and awards. These include Favorite Actor of All Time at the 48th GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards 2017, Best Male TV Personality at the 3rd Platinum Stallion Media Awards 2017, and Best Actor in Primetime Teleserye at the 7th NSCART Awards for his role in Pangako Sa’ Yo in 2016.

Besides acting, he is also a singer with several songs, including We Are All Alone and Over the years he earned his pilot’s license and, like his father, he also paints.

Parents and family

The actor comes from a very small family consisting of his parents and his sister, Rachael Veneracion, who is not as popular as other family members. As previously stated, his father, born in 1947, is a highly respected and influential painter. He had a lawyer father and a mayor daughter mother.

When it comes to Ian’s mother, there is very little about her that is known as she is not into entertainment or anything else that would bring her into the public eye. The same goes for Rachael who also maintained a life away from public knowledge.

It gets really, really interesting to realize that he hasn’t been in a lot of relationships in the past. In fact, throughout his life he is known with only one wife, Pam Gallardo (now Pam Veneracion). Since 1997, Ian Veneracion and Pam decided to settle down as husband and wife in 1997, from a young age. The versatile actor was then only 22 years old.

Since then, the two have remained very close. According to Ian, Pam is the only woman for him, as she fully understands the nature of his work. She provides support just as she came to ensure a balance between her work and family life. The two have become very close over the years and the bond between them seems to be growing stronger.

Having spent more than 20 years in a relationship, Ianet Pam Veneracion have been blessed with three children. Their children include Tristan Draco Veneracion, Duccio Veneracion and Deirdre Veneracion. Although he has accomplished a lot, he still considers being a father among his greatest accomplishments.
