Anthony Joseph Pereira, better known as JoePerry was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on September 10, 1950. The musician was the only son of Anthony Pereira, an accountant of Portuguese descent, and Mary Ursillo, a high school gym teacher . The young star was raised by her parents alongside her sister Anne-Marie Pereira.
The young musician bought his first guitar at the age of ten and perfectly mastered the fact of playing this instrument with righteousness, even though he was left-handed.
Although the guitar came naturally, the academics did not. His helpless parents were forced to transfer him from a public school to a private school in Saxtons River due to an undiagnosed learning disability which resulted in racking up poor grades. Joe left private school in his senior year and moved to Boston when he refused to cut his long hair as requested by the school administration.
Career
Along with his childhood friend, Tom Hamilton, the rising star formed a band called ‘The Jam Band’ which later morphed into Aerosmith when other artists like Joey Kramer, Steven Tyler and Brad Whitford joined. . Aerosmith became a household name in the mid-70s with a string of hit songs that resulted in endless accolades and praise for the band.

The Aerosmith guitarist was married to ElyssaJerret from 1975 to 1982. Prior to their divorce, they had a son named Adrian. Joe has two other sons – Tony and Roman – from his second wife, Billie, who had a son, Aaron, from a previous relationship. Joe and Billie’s wedding took place in 1985 after a two-year relationship. The couple met on the set of the music video for Pantalon Velours Noir in 1983.
Joe Perry, who can be considered a woman-man, has maintained his marriage to Billie for the past 33 years. He even engraved his image on a guitar he gave to her as a gift. According to music legend, the two longest relationships in his life today are with Aerosmith and his wife, Billie.
