Born to Indian parents (Summit Sircar and ArpanaMajumdar) who were college professors in Austin, Texas on May 16, 1982, Tiya has a sister named Priya. At the tender age of three, Tiya participated in dance performances when she was trained to perform ballet, modern and Asian, and classical dance.
She also began taking acting classes from age 7. Tiya Sircar studied business and marketing at the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree. She also earned a second degree in theater and dance before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue a professional acting career.
Her major television credits include American comedy-drama Masters of None and Hannah Montana and Greek. She has also acted in TV series Numbers and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Sirca was a regular character in The Suite Life on Deck and The Good Place. She took part in Apple ‘s 2008 national ad campaign, in which she portrayed a Mac genius.
