Levy was born William Levy Gutiérrez on August 29, 1980 in Cojimar, Havana, Cuba. Her middle name, Levy, is her Jewish maternal grandfather. Levy’s mother, Barbara, raised him as a single mother. In search of greener pastures, Levy immigrated to the United States at the age of 14. He attended Barbara Goleman High School where he excelled in baseball and earned a baseball scholarship to attend St. Thomas University. Levy studied business administration in school for two years before dropping out to pursue a career in entertainment.
Over the next two years, Levy studied acting in Los Angeles, Miami and Mexico City. His career officially started in 2003, when he started acting in the Next Models agency.
