The hockey star has joined the long list of those who have carved out a place for themselves with their extraordinary ball skills. He is currently associated with the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League and also played for the New Jersey Devils.
After being selected by the New Jersey Devils in the 2003 NHL Draft; Zach led the Devils to the Stanley Cup tournament in 2012. Although his team made it to the Finals, they ultimately lost to the Los Angeles Kings in six games. Zach Parise Biography,
The hockey star was born as Zachary Justin Parisele on July 28, 1984 in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the United States. He is one of the two sons of JP Parise and his wife Donna Parise. Born into a family of athletes, Zach’s father and brother also played in the National Hockey League. This led young Zach to follow the same path from an early age.
Zach Parise attended Shattuck-St. Mary’s Sabers located in Faribault, Minnesota. There he began his youth career under the guidance of his father. Playing for the school team, Zach recorded a record 194 assists and 146 goals in 125 games over the last two seasons of his career. He led the team to the Mac AAA Hockey Tournament where he was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Additionally, Zach finished the 2001 season as the top scorer and was honored as the school’s Top All-Around Athlete.
Shortly after graduating from high school, Zach enrolled at the University of North Dakota where he continued his college career. In his freshman season, the left-winger was the school’s Male Rookie Athlete of the Year while on the All WCHA All-Rookie Team. He also received the Jeff Anderson Hockey Scholarship after scoring 26 goals and 35 assists during the season. After his impressive performance in his first year; Zach was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the first round of the 2003 NHL Draft. He was the 17th player to be selected overall; nonetheless, he opted to return to North Dakota for his second season.
As a sophomore, Zach led Team North Dakota to win the WCHA regular season and also led them to compete in the MacNaughton Cup. At the end of the season, the star received the Purpur Award for her excellent performance. He was also named to the WCHA All-Tournament Team, as well as the WCHA All-American First Team and All-Varsity Team. Meanwhile, Zach decided to give up the rest of his college career by joining the New Jersey Devils in the pro league.
NHL Career
Joining the New Jersey Devils team, Zach Parise signed his rookie contract in March 2004. He completed his first season with the Albany River Rats team. He registered 18 goals and 40 assists there in the 2004/05 season. The following season, Zach returned to Devils Teams; He made his NHL debut in the 2005/06 season. By the end of his rookie season, the player had scored 14 goals for his team.
During the 2006/07 season, Zach participated in All-Star weekend where he was named the game’s MVP. He also had a total of 62 points on the season. He signed a four-year contract extension with the Devils in August 2007 and during the 2007/08 season; the player scored his first hat trick and also had 65 points at the end of the season. At the end of his four-year contract with the Devils, Zach signed another one-year contract with the team and following the 2011/12 season; he left the devils. and signed with the Minnesota Wild.
Zach signed with the Minnesota Wild in 2012 and completed over four seasons with the team. You could say that he became one of the stars of the Wild team and made progress in the league. He scored 300 career goals in their game against the New York Islanders in 2016.

His older brother Jordan Parise also took giant strides during his time as a goaltender in the Hockey League. He finished his professional career with the Waterloo Blackhawks and Chicago Steel, as well as the NHL’s New Jersey Devils. Sadly, her father passed away on January 7, 2015 after suffering from advanced stage lung cancer. Outside of Jordan; Zach has two half-siblings from his father’s first marriage.
