BIOGRAPHY
Daughter of singer Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet, Zoë Isabella Kravitz, was born on December 1, 1989, in Los Angeles, California, United States. Her parents divorced when she was 5 years old. She lived with her mother until she was 11, then moved in with her father. Acting was something that was always present in her life, participating regularly at school. She studied at the Rudolf Steiner School in Manhattan, and later enrolled at the SUNY Purchase Academy, to formally study acting.
Zoë made her film debut, at the age of 19, in the film Without Reservations (2007), alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart. She later appeared in the films Brave (2007), alongside Jodie Foster, The Greatest (2009), with Carey Mulligan and It’s Kind of a funny story (2010), with Zach Galifianakis.
Her big opportunity came when she joined the cast of X-Men: First Class (2011), a film directed by Matthew Vaughn, where she played the mutant Angel Salvadore. Her career has been on the rise, participating in films such as After Earth (2013), Divergent (2014), Dope (2015), Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Fantastic Beasts and How to Find Them (2016).
