Gadi Haggai, a U.S.-Israeli dual national, has been confirmed dead while in captivity in the Gaza Strip. He was among the 240 people seized during the Hamas attack in southern Israel on October 7. Gadi was the husband of Judith Weinstein Haggai, a Canadian-American. The Hostages and Missing Families Forum announced the news of his death. Judith Weinstein Haggai‘s whereabouts remain unknown. The Israeli government-appointed committee has been declaring some hostages dead in absentia, and Hamas has warned of diminishing time for the hostages as the conflict with Israel continues​​.
