Imo State APC Adopts Indirect Election For Primaries

Contrary to the direct primaries that was adopted by the National Executive Council of the All Progressives Congress, in Abuja Last week, the Imo State chapter of APC, has adopted the indirect primaries for all elective positions in the party ahead of the 2019 general election.

The state chapter of APC at an emergency meeting of the State Executive Council, held at the Imo International Convention Center, had reached a different decision.

Dan Nwafor, the state chairman of the party presided over the meeting, he disclosed that the re-validation of membership of the party has commenced.

Also in attendance was the Chief of Staff to the Imo state governor, Uche Nwosu, Okorocha’s endorsed APC governorship aspirant, among others.

Okorocha was, however, represented at the meeting by the Speaker of the Imo state House of Assembly, Acho Ihim.
